The United States has a longtime commitment to Israel since it has been a loyal friend throughout the Mideast. When President Obama lectured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to go back to the 1967 lines, it was not only inappropriate, but it was embarrassing for both of our countries. President Obama restated his position. However; make no mistake about it, liberal politicians like Debbie Stabenow and President Obama do not have strong feelings toward the history that the US has with Israel. I commit to our friends in Israel, when I am elected to the Senate, I will do everything in my power to not only continue that friendship, but to enhance our relationship.
